I, for one, would not like to loose the possibility to have 
multiple, differing mimetypes, for "subclasses" of folders.

(like "folder/mp3", "folder/image", etc)

Nobody's using folder "filetypes" that way now, afaik, 
but the attribute -could- be used that way, and it could be nice.
