I've got a perliminary 2.47 patch up and running including parts of
the necessary GHOST implementation.
(What I already mentioned before several times.) There are some
drawbacks which - from my understanding -
seam to stem from the fact that there is no double buffering
implemented in the MesaSoftwareRenderer.

There is no need to try getting it compile again. I'll update/create a
portlog page on haikuports. You
can go on from there, if you like. Additionally, this discussion
should be continued on the haikuports
lists for any setup details.
