Is it possible to let people be able to search in some predefined selectable areas whithin Drupal? Like some kind of a checklist: Search [___________________] [Go] Where to search: [x] Haiku-os.org [x] Community....org [ ] Forum... [ ] Internet (use Google/yahoo/altavista/whatever) [ ] Etc Greets, Rob -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: openbeos-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:openbeos-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Namens Jorge G. The opposite argument (that people get annoyed because they cannot do a full search) can also be made. And while you can never make everyone happy, I am sure we can come up with a solution that is reasonably good for everyone. > we'd have to customize Drupal > if we want to exclude forum posts, by default (don't know how > difficult this will be). I have been thinking about the multilingual stuff as well as about regional/international communities, and have briefly discussed it with Michael P. Regional/international HUGs will be encouraged and supported; there will be some very basic guidelines to follow, to ensure brand identity and consistency of message, while giving each HUG the to cater to their audience with a good degree of flexibility. The specifics will transpire at some point in time. > What else would be necessary for a community site? As you can realize, there is a lot stuff to figure out and do; we will look into and act upon each of them little by little. Not everything can happen overnight. :-) Koki
