There is a problem with BeShare, however: there is no archiving of the
files. A lot of BeOS things are currently "lost", or just sleeping on
some backup floppies or 300MB hard drives from the BeOS era. At least
with Haikuware, we had everything hosted on a single server and no
problems with people going offline.

Yeah, I know, having a 'stable' archive was a big win.  But -- at least at the 
moment --
Alexander G. M. Smith in particular is making sure he mirrors everything that 
anyone
shares, and manages to stay on line at least 90% (I guess) of the time.

And someone -- I think the same as who posted about it here a week or so ago --
has made available a 3000+ file archive of old (legal) BeOS stuff (also being
archived by AGMS).
