The main reason why I stopped using beshare was the politics, and bickering
about politics. Oh and tiger, the troll...
I've not been back since 2004, trolls, Bush versus Kerry, openbeos versus
blue eyed os... Very tedious if your trying to get work done, I'm too beta
to get into arguments, so I don't.
I will never get trolls, so I don't feed them, I just leave.
Bebits was the repo for everyone back in the day. If you didn't have
dependencies then it should be easy to install a program under any
circumstances. I've been against a lot of decisions with haiku, but pm is a
great idea that needs tweaks. It's been discussed here ad nauseam, and
there was even a discussion of forking pre pm haiku into a different
company.
In my humble opinion the pm idea is sound. Maybe make a page describing how
a third party can post a non open program to the store.
