This is because the installer expects some attributes to be on the folders,
telling wether the package is optionnal, its size, its name, ...

To make your package recognised fully you'll have to add those attributes.

Just hang on in BeShare and download the R4 image I share or listattr on one 
of your CDs...
the _do_not_install_ file also seems to have attributes (mostly md5sum)
