OK, Jon, I took your invitation. (:-))  I tried the Filer and was
very taken with it, but there were a couple of added features that I
immediately wanted, so I went ahead and implemented them.

Count me flattered. I'm out of town until next week, so I have no access
to my Haiku installation on my main PC at home. I'm looking forward to to seeing what you've done. :)
