I would rather suggest coming up with an alternative plan, something which I proposed before, about creating a http://start.haiku-os.org/ [working title].
Actually, the current haiku-os.org may be seen as the english community website. It would be nice to have a product page in multiple languages, that could be driven by the devs. and/or Haiku, Inc. and be the official Haiku page, linking to existing community sites (JBPE, BeOSFrance, or whatever). In this scope, having a localized product page makes sense. But translating a community site will not work. Most country already have a place to gather, and if they don't, it's probably easier, faster and cleaner to make a website from scratch and with an adress simpler and shorter than http://community.haiku-os.org/international/french :) It would also bring more diversity which isn't so bad, and more results for Haiku in google :)
