Then when an application tries to access a file it doesn't have access to the user is presented with a not too disturbing popup asking the user to grant/not grant access once/from now on to that file. That sounds interesting for sure. Not sure how it would fit into the BeOS/Haiku philosophy though. As long as in general it isn't annoying or overly complicated.
But I guess that's pretty off topic. :P
