I think it's a good idea to keep the OpenTracker somewhat independent
from the OpenBeOS source tree - although I see that it is very tightly
integrated into the system, and libtracker.so is a part of BeOS.
I would just import OT into the sources, but only to let stuff compile
- much like many other third party applications. It would not be
allowed to do any changes to that code - those changes should go into
the main OT repository which could be later on reimported in OpenBeOS
(for API changes or whatever, it doesn't have to be the latest
version).

Unlike OpenBeOS OT is a stable product which will be continuously
updated - and this should (at least in theory :-) happen much more
often as OS releases.

Some day later, if OpenBeOS is the one and only out there, and has a
stable base, we might reconsider it, though.

Adios...
   Axel.
