There is build machinery in the tree for PXE NetBoot, but I have no
clue if it works or not.
It sure does (or rather, did last time I tried).
However, it uses a (custom made) remote disk device driver (similar to nbd on
Linux which might be supported by Haiku, too, but I don't know the state
mmu_man left it in :-)).
When I still was involved with hardware driver development, booting Haiku over
the network was by far the best solution (wrt to turn around times).

How would I know if the file system with NFS would support queries to boot
Haiku?
I suppose I would want to try PXE Netboot with FreeBSD or other BSD first just
to see if I have proper setup.
Then I might know if failure to netboot Haiku is due to bad setup or Haiku
idiosyncrasy.
