Yes, this could be a potential undesired side effect. But this degree of
oversight is consistent with the peer review that the Haiku code is
subject to, so it should be seen as some sort of penalty to pay by third
parties.

Haiku could strive to cater to certain special cases that, say, meet
locale/country specific requirements. But even then there would be
certain criteria to meet and constraints to work within, and it could
never be a free for all situation.
