I believe you're thinking of R1, which stands for Release 1.  Release 
Candidates are far far away.  There's much we have left to implement ... OBOS 
is not yet a bootable operating system.  Sit back, watch the news at 
www.openbeos.org.  Expect a release sometime late next year =)
