As usual, Helmar, you and I disagree. :-) :-) :-) We have been "looking into the future" for 10 years and still see the same things being true, although on a different scale. People who make hardware sell generation N for big bucks. and generation N-1 for pennies. That was why the BeBox had 2 processors. Besides the coolness factor, you could have 2 processors for a *LOT* less than 1 fast one. I noticed this back in my Amiga days - a 68030/25 was 1/3 of the price of a 68030/50. I think that the future is more parallelism and less monster sized items. As far as where Be's geekdom got them, it got them a long way.
