Are you sure that's not because there isn't a R1/beta out yet and
people are testing nightly images which lack the Userguide and Welcome
links on the Desktop? If people don't click the "Welcome" if they feel
lost, I'm not sure they'll click the HaikuDepot link on the Desktop
either...

How about starting the Welcome page automatically on first boot?
