2.5  (not rc3 or any other). Refering to a recent in the archives, i
though it was the same as 2.5rc3, but perhaps on ubuntu the package is
patched (often the case on ubuntu) or [another thing i don't know]. I
don't know jam at all and i'm just discovering Haiku, so don't bother
with my messages, i'll do the spectator for now.

ok. i did it only to try to narrow the problem. didn't know this fact.

do you think there could be something wrong with the 2.5 version on
ubuntu ? (just wondering, but on some other packages it happened in the
past).
