I grabbed a copy of the newsletters a few (maybe 4) months ago. I asked someone to snip them into pieces (instead of chronological, organized by topic). I have yet to hear back. > >In case you haven't read the news, Be has yanked its ftp site -- along >with most of the dev/user info on the website, its mailing lists, etc. > >There was alot of interesting stuff on the ftp site -- sample code, old >newsletter articles, the BeOS PE (Personal Edition) download, etc. I >know that there are several mirrors of Be's ftp site out there, but I'm >not sure what the URLs are. I found a few that had only the PE download >but not the other stuff. I just located one that seems to have most (if >not all) of the original content: > >ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/os/BeOS > >This is a Swedish mirror (thank goodness for those swedes!) > >The reason that I was specifically concerned about this is that I want >all those old Be Newsletters. I knew that Be had a zip of all the old >newsletters on their ftp site, which I had been meaning to download. >And like a big, fat, stupid dummy, I forgot. Fortunately, finding this >swedish mirror has saved the day. Here's the URL of the old newsletters >for those who want to save them as well: > >ftp://ftp.sunet.se/pub/os/BeOS/webarchives/BeNewsletterArch.zip > >This is a 2.3MB zip. > >If anyone else knows of other mirrors of Be's ftp site, by all means, >post 'em here. > >
