I haven´t managed already to get into freetype ..
All I saw was the Type 3 option in the preference menu ...

yep, but it doesn´t get sharp ...
If there are too less pixels antialiasing isn´t really userful ...

And that´s another main problem.
Most programmers don´t even mention that..
So I think with small sizes there should be Antialiasing turned off ..
Please compare it ..
In Photoshop .. you´ll see ..
