Sadly the Haiku hda driver have some shortcomings with HDMI enabled computers
like my main laptop, where the codec recognised, but doesn't produce any actual
signal. So i dont using it with Haiku, just through virtualisation, but it is a
big drawback at compiling big stuff. That's why i would like to have a compact
but powerful laptop for Haiku.
You know, it is like Catch-22. (Relatively) new OS, less-than-enough software,
that's why small user base, so small developer group, so less-than-enough
software, and you can't break this chain without struggling with recipes and
porting work.
As i got some hours every night, i'd like to spend it to create new ports, but
it is not so convenient in virtualised environment.
And i like to hear music and consume content in the same time.
I ordered an x201, it is small and cheap, i'll try it with oss, and if it
works, then i keep it, if not then i send it back.
Thank you, Guys!

Thank you guys. It is pretty sad, that the HDA driver isn’t working, because
it is a nice and small laptop :(
Can somebody recommend a well priced small laptop (12-14”) with dual-core
CPU and working audio output?
The X200 is working perfectly (except the SD card slot). If you are interested
in the 14" range I can test the T410 as well (my girlfriend's laptop). Haiku
runs on it but I don't remember testing audio.
