Just a heads up as to what's happening on the USB front on my hardware. I've got one of those backlit USB keyboards, which helps observe when USB device is initialised or not, and only once did I ever get Haiku working with it. With the latest build (19258), the USB keyboard will actually re-init after Haiku boots to desktop (yes, you can actually see the keys light up, which wasn't happening a few weeks ago). The USB mouse, however, shows no signs of life (the optical sensors dont flash when you move the mouse), indicating that it hasn't been initialised. Haiku will KDL 4-5 seconds after that. Terminal (which is part of the boot up sequence) will not come up. Still, its great progress to see the keyboard light up again, indicating that USB support is =><= this close to being complete. Are you installing Haiku to the internal disk, or a USB drive? I can't replicate this on a USB drive, it freezes.
