I used to have Dell workstation and same thing would happen. Whenrunning
Windows would POST fast but with other OSes would POST slower.
Likely memory check going on. Try pressing Space Bar when you seeF2/F12 key on
screen to see if that will skip it. (or ESC key)
Check BIOS settings for quick boot option (skips memory check).If no BIOS
option for quick boot then you are stuck with slow boot.
