I'd really like to see one succeed though, as it seems to have a philosphy and code-style not to different from ours. Someone with organisation-skills and motivation might be able to get this going. * Mozilla-based Building a browser based on Mozilla's embedding code. No 'big' technical hurdles to actually doing this, in fact I think it would be quite easy. Problems that previous efforts had was that the event-handling thread wasn't started. Unfortunatly I have no time for this, but if someone wants to I wouldn't mind helping with pointers. Use an older code-base though, BeOS-rendering is broken in trunk, due to the Cairo-switch. * Writing a new browser IMO this is requires to much effort, both to build and to maintain. Everyone expects a browser to work with everything and users tend to be a bit 'passioned' about their browsing-experience. There is a lot that goes into a browser and it should be secure as well. /Fredrik Holmqvist, tqh
