I have an idea for a project. I just returned to school this year after 8 years in the work field. This is the first time I have been eligible to apply. I have a few questions.

1) This project would not get Haiku any closer to an alpha release. Is there a preference for projects that would help achieve that goal?

2) I have 20 credit-hours of regular course work per week (= 15 hours class time) until mid-June, and another 75 credit hours of additional course work scattered sort of haphazardly around the calendar between now and the beginning of June. How much time have successful participants spent per week on a project?

3) I currently study outside the US, but I am a US citizen, my permanent address is in the US, and I will spend part of the summer there; probably more time there than in any other single country during the period from May 23-Aug 26. To put it another way, the US will be my official country of residence during most of the summer, even though at times I will be physically located in other countries. Am I eligible?
