It is more active on the part of the person who will eventually use it. Of course it depends on where it is distributed from. I think this logic applies to a place like Haikuware. If someone posts a link to a Haiku image on Digg or something, that is a whole different ballgame and more like distributing a CD. For CDs it is more likely that the person receiving it (especially a demo CD distributed at a conference) will just take it to get a CD and is more passive. The passive participant is less likely to be tolerant of problems than the active participant, who is likely more educated about the given project and therefore aware of its limitations. That is how I see it at least. Hopefully Haiku will soon be at a point where we can stop having these discussions. Ryan
