That's true that one can overwrite a folder if not carefull, but the user is warned, and that's not what we'd call data corruption and thus an alpha1 target.#1420 acts just like it did in BeOS so I wouldn't consider it to be a requirement, but if it gets fixed prior to the alpha then great, and aldeck wrote that he'll look into it.
