Once again, I thank you for calling me out when I'm getting too indignant for my own good.
I apologize for sounding so harsh. That was not my intent. Also I do not speak for the whole project and if my email sounded as if I did, it was a misunderstanding.
I probably am, but it doesn't help that when I make other suggestions they get shot down with nary a second thought.
Don't give up so easily. If you can provide good ideas and back them up with reasonable arguments, people will listen. The idea of yours I was responding to was that the window decors need to perfectly match BeOS R5. Personally I do not think the fact that the main users of Haiku R1 will be former BeOS users leads to the conclusion that the decors need to be identical. Based on my reading of the other thread, that seems to be the general consensus among Haiku developers. While the Haiku developers do not completely represent the project itself, they are a large part of it. If someone was suggesting getting rid of the yellow tabs, I'd be right behind you in supporting keeping them, as a reminder of BeOS. But I don't think they need to be pixel-by-pixel identical.
That was a humorous aside without any malice intended. If anything, it's more of a jab at Torvalds than at Axel or anyone else. =P
Fair enough, my response was a little too harsh, given the joking nature of the comment ;)
Perhaps so. It does however look like I'm not set to be one of those people.
Maybe, maybe not. You have contributed code, which in my opinion makes you more worthwhile than many other people who just email the project with ideas.
I'll keep my nose out, since it seems like I'm not helping by continuing to post.
That is your choice, but don't stop posting just because of little old me. Ryan
