Had a quick read.

I am currently working on a node to merge video streams and a subtitle
decoder.  Let me know your requirements for dvd subtitles.

This is a known issue wit the MediaPlayer.  It does not use the Audio
Mixer properly and only handles 2 channels.  The audio decoders can
output more than stereo but don't currently.
