Hi,With the new year, a new Free Pascal release came out : Free Pascal 2.4.0, with the first official package for Haiku.
Here is the announcement : http://freepascal.org/ and here is the download page : http://freepascal.org/down/i386/haiku.var.
The package include : - the compiler, - lots of libraries, - and a complete textmode IDE, with mouse and integrated debugging support. While there is probably more bugs under Haiku than under other supported platforms, i think it is ready for more exposure.
The long term goal (at least mine ;-) is still to provide some direct pascal bindings to the Haiku's API (but nothing new for years in this area).
In the meantime, it might be possible to have a complete Delphi like IDE thanks to Lazarus (http://www.lazarus.freepascal.org/) and Haiku's qt port (http://dev.osdrawer.net/projects/qt-beos/). It is still not usable, but here is a screenshot showing the current state : http://olivier.coursiere.free.fr/download/Lazarus_UnderHaiku.png.
Happy Haiku year ! Olivier
