Hi Dane,
Have them look at the last two posts on this bugtracker ticket:
https://dev.haiku-os.org/ticket/10074#comment:25

It might or might not be related, I'm not a networking guru :)  I personally
would sure like to see ftp working fine again in Haiku, hopefully they'll get
the bugs worked out.

Subject: [haiku] FTP delayed or unresponsive from "the outside"

From a Haiku user who has asked me for help:

"When my Haiku system was on my LAN here the FTP worked with no delay. However,
when at a remote location, the FTP server is taking up to 40 seconds to respond
to any request. Once it does respond, using Cyberduck (Mac) it transfers the
file quickly, but I am unable to use the Fileziila (windows and Linux) and FTP
app (IOS) clients as they will always time out."

What might cause Haiku's FTP server to work fine when accessed locally within a
LAN, but be sluggish or unresponsive when accessed via an outside connection?

Dane
