Btw IDE hotplug _is_ dangerous :))
I tried once... not sure I'll again.
was only a 80 MB hdd, and it still works, but I won't try even with my 6GB :))
what kind of rack did you use ?
one that cuts power with the key ?
special rack ? special IDE controller ?
