It was in /boot/develop/headers/be/experimental/ in R5 already, 
R5.1 refined it and "officialised" (*grin*) it.
And the Vision team worked it around also.

I think it would be nice to have a reference version, that qe'd add 
to the API we want to support, to avoid everyone reinventing the 
wheel and diverging and breaking the future compatibility.
