This same guy, Yoshihiro Takagi, has also posted an IPP/LPR Transport

The IPP/LPR transport add-on realizes network printing by using IPP
(Internet Printing Protocol) or LPDP (Line Printer Daemon Protocol).
Here's a cut-n-paste from h_ank from a post on BeGroovy:
"Now I can finally print to my networked LaserJet. Of course it isn't
perfect yet (last line on page cut off) but it works! Majorly cool"
I don't kow who Yoshihiro is, but he has just given some cool stuff to
the BeOS community. Since these are goodies we would like to have in
the OBOS Printing module, and all of Yoshihiro's source code is
available, this is definitely a good thing methinks.
