We have mkisofs and cdrecord. I haven't tried using it yet, but to my 
knowledge there's no open ticket complaining that it doesn't work.

Actually Haiku has NTFS write support. I wouldn't trust it very far, 
particularly because sync'ing is not implement. I'm not sure, but data and 
meta data are probably sync'ed when unmounting. So writing to the NTFS drive, 
unmounting it, remounting it, and verifying that everything has correctly 
been stored (checksums!) should be save enough.
