Waldemar, that's great. Unfortunately my old bugzilla username/password pair don't work in Trac. How am I supposed to use it without an account ?

Yup, you need a Haiku website account. The login will be shared between Drupal and Trac. I've added a few notes to Trac's login page and wiki (there is also a guide how to use Trac and you can find links to the manual at the bottom of every page).

I do not want to start another controversy here, but I am a bit disturbed at what I see transpiring from the messages about the work on the new website.

Let's be 100% clear: the Haiku website is the one at www.haiku-os.org. This is the current website, and it should continue to be so until the new website that is being worked is finalized. That time has not come yet.

I am all for a new, enhanced, improved and expanded website, but we should not have two parallel worlds. It is pure and simple an invitation for chaos.

Waldemar, I think you are doing a great job with the new website (Trac included), but it is more than obvious that there are many remaining issues with the new site, and that it is not ready for production.

You guys in software development have what you call alpha and beta development stages, do testing and debugging prior to release, and only when you feel that the software is ready for general consumption that is when you do a public release. You even like to use the "when it's ready" answer everytime somebody asks when you are going to make a release. I actually agree with that stance, and I like the fact that Haiku has made a conscious decision to release only good software. But, I believe that we should apply the same high standard to our website too. After all, the Haiku website is a reflection of our project, our ideas, the concepts that we are trying to sell.

Or are we going to apply a lower quality standard to our website than we apply to our OS?
