Shown below is the subscription welcome message from the [haiku-development] mailing list:

-------- Original Message --------

Greetings and welcome to the [haiku-development] mailing list!

This list exists to aid in the discussion of programming Haiku, the operating
system and third-party software for it[0].

Questions about porting software to Haiku could be posted here. Although,
HaikuPorts-dev may be more appropriate[1].

Questions about building Haiku from source are better suited at the [haiku]
general mailing list[2]. The rationale is that you are using Haiku's build
system, as opposed to developing it.

Most importantly, please take a moment to review our mailing list etiquette[3].

According to the second paragraph, the [haiku-development] list is also for development of third party software for Haiku.

If I am not mistaken, this is now inaccurate, as the [haiku-3rdparty-dev] (Haiku 3rdparty Development) list was setup to cater to 3rd party app developers.

The welcome message should be changed accordingly, to avoid confusions.
