I remembered my first experience with linux..tried it and since I wasn't crazy about it at the time, I wiped off the linux partition from inside Windows XP (Computer Management in control panel). Big mistake because GRUB was still there and didn't know what to do and I couldn't boot. Maybe there were other options but with no access to the pc I just reinstalled from the recovery cd which wasn't fun... On 6/21/07, Gustavo grieco <gustavo.grieco@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:
GRUB is working like a charm. I think it can be ported. Even we can make a GUI for it. :) 2007/6/20, Mathew Schofield <mr.skoe@xxxxxxxxx>: > On 6/21/07, André Braga <meianoite@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > > I used to need such a bootloader to boot from the CD on my Pentium > > 133; it was called XOSL (now folded into Ranish's (of Ranish Partition > > Manager fame) site): http://www.ranish.com/ ; and it did that by > > including Smart Boot Manager (http://btmgr.sourceforge.net/ ; site > > somewhat broken, but individual HTML files still work fine). > > > > All GPL'd code.
