Hi Curtis,

I think the question is: Who needs a dual core processor to write a letter,
listen to music, watch a movie or surf the web? Only Windows Vista users
need such power to work with Office applications.  

The Power consumption of these old systems is much lower. Some new CPUs need
more than 80 W. You said the computing power to electricity usage is not
justifying. Which appliance in the case of HAIKU needs ultra-modern-mega
PCs?  
Last weekend I had a customer who said he can´t watch a (regular) DVD with a
Pentium III 866 MHz and a ATI Radeon 9000 graphics card. These guys are
blinded by M$ Windows...
