Maybe we could vote for an indicator. ;-) I guess Ingo W. would like it :-P Von: openbeos-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:openbeos-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Im Auftrag von Karl vom Dorff Gesendet: Samstag, 23. I thought with BeOS, Zeta, the boot icons would give an indication of where your system would fault on booting. i.e, if it got stuck on the networking icon, then your networking driver is messed or unsupported, if it got stuck on the disk icon, then your file system is corrupted... etc. Karl On 6/23/07, Karl vom Dorff <karlvd@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: "you'll only see the boot screen for 3 seconds anyways" That's if Haiku boots at all... It would be "cool" as advertisement for the HAIKU project. You see the boot screen 3 seconds and you know it´s from the HAIKU Team ;-) And the brand Haiku is protected!? I hope so. The Haiku Logo with TM (trademark) or R (registered trademark) i´m no lawyer but I guess this should be there... I guess a short message with "press spacebar for safe mode" (or something like that) that Stephan A. wrote and maybe a color switching rectangle in one corner like the one in BeOS would make sense.
