Hi Dane,

I updated the motherboards bios because the SATA controller had some
problems with my other Osses. But I´m not sure if this will solve your
problem. 

My motherboard is a P5Q Pro so maybe there´s another USB controller on your
board!? I´m not sure about this it looks like both chips are the same on the
Asus website... 

Or maybe there is something "wrong" configured in your bios!? You could try
to disable the option "plug and play os" "yes"
