Together with Dario's very modest hourly rate, I don't see how Haiku
Inc. can refuse the offer. There's more than enough funds left to
finance a push for beta, IF there were someone willing to accept such
a contract. Maybe Haiku Inc. should at least signal its willingness to
sponsor a beta-pushing contract with a post to the ML.
Any contract work means that money isn't just sitting there, which
over time decreases the motivation to donate. Besides, streaming
support in the media kit and fewer bugs sound like a very worthwhile
investment that users understand and can get behind.
Since some of Dario's past contributions were a bit on the
controversial side, I'd recommend he details his plans before
execution. He'll be able to include the feedback which will speed up
the merging of his branch.
So, FWIW, as a non-member of Haiku Inc., but long-time donour, I'd be
all for this contract. :)
