I do have an Acer Aspire One Z65 with an Atom N270, an 8 GB SSD (!)
and 512 MB of RAM running Linux which I have not used in a very long
time, but now that you mention it I wouldn't mind using it for Haiku.
It sounds like the one you want to get is better anyhow.
That particular machine *probably* has an i945 chipset or similar...
at least, my AOA150 netbook with N270 and 160gb spinning rust disk
does :)
I may have a couple GMA3100/3150 machines around here - I know i have
several atom desktop machines sitting around doing nothing (one of
them is a NAS currently).
As a side note, I do have several optiplex 760 machines with intel
chips in them identified as 8086:2e13 which look like they're not yet
supported by our driver. I'm guessing we're just missing the devid
though.
I need to get rid of hardware soon - as it's starting to pile up, so
my plan this summer is to take stock of what i have, document the
specs, and try to tests haiku on as much as possible before giving
away, or ewasting it.
