We're about 2 1/2 weeks into the 6 week period, there are still 65 open
issues on the R1/beta1 milestone. Please take a few minutes and review the
open tickets, if you opened the ticket, please recheck it with a
recent/post PM merge nightly of Haiku and see if it is still valid. For
the ones where you are the owner, update the status or remove/reassign as
needed. Review the tickets where the current owner is set to "nobody" and
take ownership if you can fix it in the next few weeks. If you find any
that don't really need to be fixed for the next release, then it should be
moved to the next milestone.

The merge for Haikuports happened just a few days ago and things are
already picking up there. I've put together a Targets list of packages
that were part of R1A4, it'd be nice if we could get all or most of these
in place over the next few weeks as well.

Perhaps we can get a fresh coverity scan post merge?

I've updated the .recipe for freetype to 2.5.0.1 and built a test .hpkg
from it, but I recall Ryan saying that other changes were required in Haiku
to use the newer version. The test .hpkg build can be found here:
http://ports-space.haiku-files.org/packages-to-test/ so perhaps freetype
can be updated to the next release can have cleaner looking fonts maybe?

I'm cross posting this to the i18n list as well, so that the translators
are reminded to check the status of translations as we are nearing a
release. There is still time left, so check the current status of
languages you might be working on and update as time permits.
