I am glad Portuguese translation will be included. It has been a big effort,
even if didn’t go much further than 70%. I really think it will make some
difference for Portuguese speaking users, so I can’t wait to test it myself.
If all goes well the translation should be in the weekly Saturday
sync, so you can try the nightly builds early next week.
I will also try to get some time to work on the “Welcome to Haiku“ page,
which I believe is also an important one, since it is very prominent at the
first system boot.
For those translations that aren’t ready right now, when will be the next
So I can only speak about the UI translations that go through Pootle.
Up to R1beta2 I will have a look at the percentages every other week
and add languages when they make the number. In between release
periods it is usually a good idea to just open a ticket on Trac if
your language goes over the 60% threshold, and we'll include it in the
