1. When I translate through Pootle, I cannot see the whole list for
the strings. For
instance, as Pootle says, there are 400 total strings, untranslated
400. When I start
translating, it finishes giving me strings around, let’s say 150.
Where are the rest?
I may misunderstand what you mean... (btw, the "400" pootle reports are
words, not whole strings, so it's not as bad as it sounds :))
After you submitted a string, Pootle should jump to the next
untranslated string until you reach the last one and the pops up a
notice congratulating that all for this catalog have been translated.
Pootle shows 100 rows of strings on a page by default. You can change
that in the settings.
Granted, these maybe already translated, but it would be really cool
if I could see and
compare my strings with the rest of the translations.
At the top of the page you can filter the strings either with a search
term, or various criteria, like "Incomplete", "Translated" or "All",

2. Are app names translated? Tracker stays Tracker, or a local
variant can be used?
That is to be decided by for each language by its users and language
manager. Haiku's Locale preferences have an option to show the localized
app and folder names in Tracker/Deskbar.
It may make sense to leave proper app names like StyledEdit or DiskProbe
but translate functional names like the preferences for Mouse and
Keyboard. That's how we came to do it for the German translation.
But, as said, every language community can come up with what they feel
is best.
3. As of this moment, Tracker only has 1 (one) total string among
Turkish translations.
That is correct under "apps". Most of Tracker is in it's "kit" and a
few more in "preferences".
