I'm not too familiar with mailing lists and I'm here after being instructed to
do so by Niels Sascha Reedijk in a Gerrit ticket

I'm Panos. I've been poking around the Haiku project and the different things
you can do around here for a bit (such as HaikuPorts and some bits in the Haiku
tree), after being initially drawn in by a Google competition and wanting to
contribute for a decent amount of time, but not knowing where to start. Since
the second beta release is approaching, I decided to divert most of my
attention to the Greek translations of Haiku, which is spoken by 13 million
people (if I recall correctly) and happens to be my native tongue. I scaled up
my efforts the next day, because apparently, the lack of maintenance will
result in the removal of the Greek language from Haiku, which is something that
would be fairly nice to avoid from my point of view.
There's a deadline until the 22nd of May, 2020. Although I am not sure whether
it'd be feasible to translate everything before that deadline, there's a
threshold of 60% that does seem within my reach, considering that the number's
currently sitting at 58% and my suggestions should probably bump up the number
a bit further. Of course, it'd be great if the translation could be as complete
as possible, which is the reason why I'd like to request the ability to submit
translations directly to Haiku. This would probably take off some work off the
shoulders of "giannisk", who has been probably burdened because of my high
volume of suggestions, and give me the ability to push that percentage number
beyond the required threshold (and hopefully even further).
