Hallo,
About flags: What about some nations using coat of arms instead flag, or
some nations at least wish to use it? On MAC, few years ago, was coat of
arms in czech desktop, wich in fact for czech's made this system lilttle
more atractive, then Windows with flag. There was easilly 2:1 flag-like
red field with silver lion on it (cz).
border: Yes, it could be fine, or maybe using some kond of shadowing (2px)?

attractive, considering that the union jack, for example is 1:2 and
Switzerland can be 1:1.
Also, would it be nice to have a 1-pixel, bevel-like frame around all
flags? depending on the flag and background colour, having a border
seems to be a good idea.
