Yes, I think this would be best. I don't think the Quicktour has been
widely translated yet, so this may not be too huge a task. Let me know
your desired user name at the userguide tool and working email address
and I can set you up.
1.2. The text that at the beginning says 'At the bottom right of each
page, are links for
"further reading"' would have to be changed. I'm afraid I have no
solution for this one wihtou the
intervention of translators, except leaving the paragraph as is or
removing it completely.
I'd say let's change this to "For each topic you can find a box with
links for "further reading" that point to additional resources,..." as
you already did in your local version. Having a 2nd paragraph on the
intro slide just looks nicer IMO.
2. Split some lines to their own paragraphs, and thus different
translation items.
I'm currently not tackling this. I think it should be done
independently when the other changes are
finished, and again could be done by some tool (me or the changes
author).
Or me. Yes. I'd say that when doing those changes, we should keep those
blocks "fuzzy" to signal to the translators that they should look over
the blocks once more. I don't think there are that many places where
we'll remove line-breaks. (Those were done for optics when the text was
center-aligned in the original Quicktour).
