Please let me vent. Our pootle site is a desaster. While it mostly
worked when the im/export was automated, as for the Haiku project
(though I have the suspicion that it currently doesn't, because no new
strings arrive at pootle, no translations in trunk), manually managing
the 3rdparty project is impossible.
Though I went along the wiki guide [1] when trying to add "Filer", it
doesn't work, "!" symbols appear with no explanation on the "English"
page and BePDF and BurnItNow show suddenly a suspiciously low string
count for "English".
"Rescanning project files" fails in an unhelpful manner ("There was an
error...")...
I've had it with pootle. Even if someone was able to fix the current
issue, I don't think the catkeys for 3rd party apps can be maintained
with our current pootle site.
It wasn't that there was much activitiy in the 3rdparty project
anyway. There was more participation when the translations were
submitted in the forum thread [2]. I propose going back to that,
unless someone is able to set up a sane pootle translation site. No
uploading of zip archives containing empty folders, running en.catkeys
through scripts first etc...
AFAIK, all translations should have already been upstreamed to the
various apps' githubs.
I'll put up a notice not to work on the 3rdparty project at pootle and
will remove that project in a week or so, if there aren't arguments to
keep it.
