Maybe you should work on the "workshop-like" page instead. The 
applications/mail.html page is meant for the application 'Mail' only. 
That is, going through all the interesting settings and menu items. 
Creating an account is already described in preferences/e-mail.html nd 
could be linked.
Hey, why not do both...? :)

It is! I've learned a lot by simply take an app/pref/whatever and 
explore it thoroughly.
Have fun! You got all the time you need and it doesn't have to be 
perfect on first try.
