That "no derivatives" clause is the killer...it sounds like it has to be 
written from scratch then, not even using the BeBook source examples or 
anything.

AFAIR, the goal of Haiku book is to reproduce the documentation
completely, not just for the parts that are different, precisely
because BeBook can't be modified.

Documenting only the parts that are different is OK for now, but
ideally everything should be documented and it shouldn't link to
BeBook regardless of its completeness.
